Coorevin Farm

Agri Aware Welcomes New Patron Member
Agri Aware recently welcomed a new patron, Padraig and Nuala Moran of Coorevin Farm, Borrisokane, Co. Tipperary. Padraig and his wife, Nuala, are passionate about their business, known as Moran’s Agricultural Experience for students. The top class beef and sheep enterprise, based in the scenic Borrisokane countryside, uses the best of agricultural science practice to maximise production and efficiency. Coorevin Farm offers a great learning experience for both second and third level agricultural students

Students get hands on experience and are encouraged to get a feel for the work involved in running Coorevin Farm. Coorevin Farm provides students with an opportunity to relate what they have learned in the classroom to a working farm. Padraig Moran joins Agri Aware’s existing sixty plus patrons, all of whom share the same goal, to improve the image and understanding of Agriculture, Farming and the Food Industry in Ireland.

Chairman of Agri Aware, Bernard Donohue, said “We are delighted to welcome Padraig and Nuala Moran from Coorevin Farm as a new patron of Agri Aware. Coorevin Farm provides an excellent educational experience for students studying Agricultural Science and for those interested in the agri-food industry, the industry that has consistently played a pivotal role in the Irish economy.”

Padraig is enthusiastic about the new partnership with Agri Aware, “Becoming a patron member of Agri Aware is undoubtedly a great step forward for Coorevin Farm. Educating students and the general public about farming and the agri-food industry is what Agri Aware is all about and I am delighted to support their work. With the Moran Agricultural Experience, I want students to learn with a hands on approach to gain an understanding and build on a real interest in the agri-food industry. Coorevin Farm is like a living classroom, with the muck included!”

The farm is open for students and their teachers all year round. For more information on Agri Aware and Coorevin Farm, please see www.agriaware.ie, www.thefamilyfarm.ie or e-mail Padraig Moran at coorevanfarm@eircom.net.
